At The Gray Matter Experience, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. That’s why we’re always excited to offer our students hands-on opportunities to see their passions come to life. Recently, our cohort took a trip to the Southside to visit PRGRSSN Clothing, a fashion brand that blends creativity with social impact.
Founded by Oluwaseyi Adeleke, PRGRSSN focuses on bridging the gap between fashion and social justice, using each design to spark conversations and drive change. Oluwaseyi shared how he draws inspiration from real-world issues, designing apparel that not only looks good but also carries a powerful message. Our students had the unique chance to explore the creative process behind PRGRSSN’s sell-out t-shirt designs, learning how fashion can be a powerful tool for advocacy. It was a valuable lesson on how art and entrepreneurship can intersect to address pressing social challenges.
Students teamed up to brainstorm and design their own t-shirts. They learned about everything from concept development to execution, gaining valuable insights into the world of fashion and entrepreneurship. This experience gave them a taste of what it takes to turn an idea into a tangible product.
We’re grateful to PRGRSSN for sharing their knowledge and passion with our students, empowering them to think creatively and use their skills for social good.
Stay tuned for more updates on our students’ journeys and the incredible partnerships that make them possible!
